Hi, I’m Tsan (meaning “bright light of the galaxy”), the eye behind RSquare Photography. capturing stories with a clean and natural touch, turning fleeting moments into lasting memories.
Photography has always been close to me. I got my first camera ten years ago and carried that heavy block of gear around the world, capturing both small and big moments along the way.
2024 became a turning point in my life. I married my best friend, and for the first time I hired professional photographers to document our wedding day. Watching them work and seeing how they captured joy even when things did not go as planned left a lasting impression on me. That experience changed the way I looked at photography. It was no longer just an expensive hobby I enjoyed, but a path I felt called to follow when the corporate world no longer felt right for me.
After years at a large advertising company that left me burned out, and watching my husband struggle in a toxic and unstable workplace, I knew I needed to create something of my own. Turning my lens toward others and photographing city hall weddings, elopements, and portraits has been a way to reconnect with creativity and with people. My husband often tells me I smile the most when I am editing photos for others, which feels like proof that this is where I belong.
I am naturally introverted, so putting myself out there has not always been easy. What drives me is the hope of creating a space where my clients feel calm, comfortable, and truly seen. For me, photography is not only about making images. It is about slowing down, noticing beauty in everyday stories, and preserving the moments that matter.
R Square comes from a statistical term I learned in school — a measure of how closely things relate to each other.
I’ve stripped away its technical meaning and reimagined it as a symbol of beautiful connection I want to bring through my lens.
